Kate + JP >> Indio Wedding >> Part I

Hello and happy monday morning. We’re sharing a wedding today that we just freaking LOVED.  ahhh… we adore this couple & everything about this wedding (hello sequin dance floor!). We kinda just want to live in it forever. Kate and JP are two of the most beautiful people – inside and out! The love they have for each other is something amazing to witness in person. They can’t keep their hands off each other. It’s complete true love & makes everyone around them melt! (remember their engagement photos?!) They got married at the empire polo fields in Indio, CA & we had one incredible team of vendors to work with… Jesi Haack, JL Designs, Pitbulls & Posies, The Love Riot, and more.

this wedding was so good, we split it into two posts! so check back tomorrow for part two. and even better, it’s featured on 100 Layer Cake today! yep… go see for yourself!

travel photography > tulum, mexico

Last September we were lucky enough to shoot a wedding in Cancun (have we mentioned how much we love our job??)  After the wedding we decided to take a quick trip down to Tulum for a little r&r and a bit of Negra Modelo as you’ll see in the photos below.  Tulum quickly became one of our most favorite places on earth which is saying a lot because between the two of us we’ve seen a lot of places.  We stayed at Ahau Tulum where we felt like family.  Everyone was so kind to us, we enjoyed chatting with the staff each day at breakfast while indulging in fresh juice and mexican style eggs (always with habanero sauce).  The company of the many local dogs was comforting as we missed our pups back at home.  We had some of the most delicious meals including dinner at Hartwood, just a short walk from our hotel.  Most of our days were spent lounging in the hammocks with a cold beer and dozing off to the sounds of the Caribbean.  We can’t wait to go back.

Happy Friday loves! Hope everyone has some awesome plans for the weekend! We’re heading up to orange country for a super fun wedding tomorrow (we can’t wait to shoot these two again!).

but today we have a sweet engagement shoot for ya! Tera & Andrew are too cute. Tera’s smile is infectious … and we love that these two met on halloween both dressed as bumble bees (for reals! best story ever!). Tera & Andrew it was such a joy spending the evening shooting with you guys (and props to Tera for hiking that hill in her heels!). amazing. xo

OMG I’m so obsessed with this shoot! I want something like this for our engagement shoot!! Do you know where she got the long white dress and the short white dress with the dots?

TeraApril 5, 2013 - 4:06 pm

Hi Gina!
Thank you for your comments- we loved being photographed by Taryn and Shelby. THEY ARE GREAT! The long white dress I purchased at Nordstrom (designer is Nine West believe it or not!) a couple years ago. The short white dress with dots was purchased through Gilt.com (I love Gilt) in November of 2012, the designer is Best Society.

lindy + brandon > la jolla, california

Good Morning all!  We have a sweet, intimate wedding to share with you today! Lindy and Brandon were married on the cliffs of Torrey Pines in a small ceremony with their closest family and friends.  It was quite a foggy day but made for some gorgeous light and romantic images.  They celebrated their reception at one of our new favorite venues, Darlington House.  Lindy + Brandon: congratulations to you both – we know you’ll share a lifetime of happiness and plenty of travel (take us with you?) xoxo
